Daily Routine 3 – Digestion

If you're ready to start making a bigger impact on your health, take a look at your whole digestive system, including elimination. You're digestive system accounts for about 80% of your immune function. Want to actually feel better....deal with your whole digestive process. Start a nutrition diary. Write down EVERYTHING you eat. Then note how your body reacts to what to you ate..... did you have heartburn after lunch? Did you have gas after that bag of chips, candy bar and soda? How did you feel after that heavy pasta dinner? Was your morning elimination solid, loose...or something else? Keep this diary for a couple weeks and be honest, be thorough, only you are going to see it. What it will do is allow you to understand how your body reacts to certain foods so you can decide what really needs to be changed, reduced, replaced or eliminated. We are eating ourselves to death. Too many processed items, empty calories, sugars and chemicals destroy our digestive process. There is now direct clinical evidence that not only are processed foods linked to specific disorders but also evidence that a lack of greens, grains and vegetables are also linked to disorders that are prevalent in our society. Start making single changes so you can note how your body reacted to the change. Sometimes its as simple as finding an organic version of an item you think is causing problems. Sometimes you'll have to get rid of something all together. But the changes will make you feel better. Use some Yarrow as a Digestive Tonic Tea to sooth and nourish and strengthen your digestive tract. A healthy gut will get you closer to overall health.
